Chelsea Seltzer was born in Illinois and currently lives and works in New York City. She received her BFA from Cornell University. Along with her solo practice, she often works collaboratively with Theo A. Rosenblum.
Seltzer has shown solo and collaborative works in numerous spaces including The Hole Gallery in New York and in Los Angeles, in New York at IRL Gallery, Zurcher Gallery, Asia Geisberg Gallery, Marvin Gardens, The Spring Break Art Show, My Pet Ram, Jeff Bailey Gallery, Tchotchke Gallery, White Columns, The East Hampton Shed, Jeffrey Deitch Projects as well as internationally at Zurcher Paris, Hydra School Projects in Hydra, Greece, Galerie Steinslander Berliner in Sweden, Mozuku Gallery in Taiwan, and Plan X Gallery in Capri, Italy.
Seltzer’s work has been covered in publications such as Vice Creators Project, Art F City, GalleristNY, Black Book, ArtNet, The Brooklyn Rail, The Wall Street Journal, The Opening Ceremony, The New York Times, Let’s Panic Magazine, BOMB, Flash Art and Time Out Greece. She has done residency programs at New York City’s School of VIsual Arts, Virginia Commonwealth University and Hydra School Projects in Hydra, Greece
